Shifting Winds – Desert Breeze – Kumihimo Necklace Kit
By stringing each warp with a specific sequence of beads you can achieve this beautiful ombre effect!
The Shifting Winds necklace is a project for the intermediate kumihimo braider. Before beginning this project you should know how to drop beads into a kongoh gumi braid (top-right down, bottom-left up) on a foam kumihimo disk. You should also know how to bind off your braid and how to glue on an endcap.
You’ll need the following tools to complete the bracelet: foam kumihimo disk (regular 1/2″ thickness), 8 weighted bobbins (~23g each), clip-on center weight (~45g), and scissors.
The kit includes: printed instructions, big-eye needle, superlon, size 8 Demi beads, magnetic acrylic endcap, binding thread, and E6000 glue.
The kit makes one necklace either 17.75″ or 25.75″ long.
