This 8mm TierraCast Rope Magnetic Clasp and Endcap Set includes two 8mm Rope endcaps, one Rope magnetic clasp, and four jump rings. You will need two pairs of jewelry pliers to assemble the set. The length of the assembled set is 2 1/4". Because the ends of your beaded braids fit inside the endcaps, this set typically adds about 2" to the finished length of your braid.
About the 8mm Rope Endcaps: the inside diameter is 8mm and the outside diameter is 11mm at the widest point. The inside diameter of the loop is 2.5mm. This size endcap will fit on an eight-warp braid made with size 8 seed beads. IMPORTANT: the 8mm Rope endcap is being discontinued by TierraCast, so supplies are limited.
About the Rope magnetic clasp: The length of the two sides clasped together is about 25mm (just under an inch). These magnets are quite strong and one can hold, on average, 200g.
About the jump rings: They're 20 gauge with a 4mm inside diameter. They're the perfect size to connect the clasp to the endcaps.
Slight size and weight holding variations are to be expected as part of the manufacturing process.
