The Shared Path features two parallel braids joined by a dainty, floral motif embellishment. The braid is a straight forward counted pattern suitable for braiders of all-levels.  The bead stitching embellishment that joins the two braids has an easy-to-follow thread path making this a great first "embellished braid" project.

Following the detailed, step-by-step instructions in the kit, you'll step up your jewelry-making game by learning the fundamentals of braid embellishment:  how to anchor beading thread to the braid, how to sew two braids together, how to embellish the edge of the braid, and how to make custom peyote stitch endcap covers. Shared Path is a kumihimo kit for all levels of braiders, but because you'll be braiding with size 11 Delica beads previous experience with the basic round braid (kongoh gumi) on the foam disk is suggested.  If this is your very first beaded kumihimo project, please consult our Beaded Kumihimo Starter Guide before beginning.

Max finished length:  There are four stringing charts in your kit.  You can make a bracelet to fit one of these wrist sizes: ~6", ~7", ~8", ~9".

Techniques used:  kumihimo, general bead stitching, and peyote stitch

The Shared Path kit includes printed instructions, Superlon micro, size 11 Delica beads, Toho Demi beads, Japanese size 11 seed beads, stainless steel magnetic endcaps, big-eye needle, beading thread, binding thread, and E6000 glue.

You’ll need the following tools (not included) to complete the project: foam kumihimo disk (regular 1/2″ thickness), 8 weighted bobbins (~23g each), clip-on center weight (~45g), and scissors.
