Make a statement with the Woodland Afternoon. Whether you're brand new to kumihimo or a long time fan, this is one of those projects that is just soooo relaxing to braid. Both the 4mm fire polished and size 11 seed beads are easy to string with the included big-eye needle and once the braid is underway these two different bead sizes naturally nestle against each other in an elegant, textural spiral. We finish off the Woodland Afternoon necklace with wired-wrapped focal clasp meant to be worn in the front, off to one side. Both the flower petal endcaps and leaf & twig toggle are hand-finished antiqued brass that we wire-wrap and fully assemble for you so the set is ready for gluing.
A stunning necklace for braiders of all skill levels, even beginners. Previous experience with the basic round braid (kongoh gumi) on the foam disk is helpful, but not required. If this is your very first beaded kumihimo project, please review our Beaded Kumihimo Starter Guide before beginning your necklace.
