 Type of kit:  necklace

Max finished length:  approximately 24"
Techniques: beaded kumihimo (beginner)

The Petite Classic Elegance kit includes

  • detailed written instructions
  • 3mm fire polished beads
  • size 11 Japanese seed beads
  • micro Superlon
  • big-eye needle
  • TierraCast 6mm endcaps
  • TierraCast magnetic clasp with jump rings

(Due to supply shortages we no longer include nymo & E6000 glue in the kit.)

Tools needed to assemble the project (not included)

  • foam kumihimo disk
  • 8 weighted bobbins (~23g each)
  • clip-on center weight (~45g)
  • scissors
  • binding thread
  • E6000 glue
  • jewelry pliers

The Petite Classic Elegance is the same design you love with slightly smaller beads: 3mm fire polished and size 11 seed beads. It braids up every bit as easily, so this is a great introduction to working with smaller beads. The finished petite braid is about 25% thinner than the original Classic Elegance and is finished with 6mm TierraCast endcaps instead of 8mm.

A stunning necklace for braiders of all skill levels, even beginners, that does not need a pendant or focal to make a splash. Previous experience with the basic round braid (kongoh gumi) on the foam disk is helpful, but not required. If this is your very first beaded kumihimo project, please review our Beaded Kumihimo Starter Guide before beginning your necklace.
