Do You Offer Local Pickup?

 

Do you offer local pickup?  No, I'm sorry, we no longer offer local pickup; however, we offer free shipping on orders over $75 and have added first class mail as a low cost shipping option for light weight orders.

We've also added a new reward option for Studio Insiders.  You can redeem 250 points for a free shipping coupon.  The coupon is good for free shipping off the entire order, up to a maximum shipping amount of $15.

Why did you stop offering local pickup?  We're a very small business and it doesn't make financial sense for me to pay someone to be available in the office just for local pickups.  When I'm in the shop by myself I can't do any photo or video editing if there's a pickup waiting on the table outside because I'm too anxious some random person will walk by and take it.

But the brick & mortar shop is open again.  Why can't I order online and pickup in store?  Same reason.  It doesn't make financial sense for us to do so.  Order online and pickup in store requires some fairly complicated logistics.  It's costly for big box stores to offer it as well, they're just better able to absorb the expense.

The best way to think about it is that we have two related, but separate businesses.  There's an online store and there's an in-person store.  They offer different things in different ways.
