Welcome to your new addiction! It's really fun to watch your braid appear magically below your disk. You're going to be impressed with the beautiful, high-quality jewelry you can make in just a few hours. All the information you need to get started is included here in the Bead Soup Beaded Rope beginner kit. You'll learn how to set up the disk, the super simple braiding moves, and how to transform your beautiful beaded rope into a wonderful necklace you'll be proud to wear.
The Bead Soup Beaded Rope features a mixture of size 8/0 seed bead colors in varying amounts. Each mix has a dominant color and several accent colors. These mixed beads are strung randomly without making a pattern. As you braid the colors will appear as randomly sized groupings. The Bead Soup Beaded Rope is finished with all-in-one acrylic magnetic endcaps. The Bead Soup Beaded Rope kit includes: detailed step-by-step written instructions, big-eye needle, size 18 Superlon, size 8 Japanese seed beads, magnetic acrylic endcaps, binding thread, and E6000 glue. The kit makes one necklace up to 28″ long.
Due to continued supply chain issues, we send 1 binding thread and 1 glue for every four kits ordered. If you need 1 binding thread and glue for each kit because they're gifts or you're hosting a beading party, just let us know in the order notes and we're happy to send one per kit.
Techniques used: kumihimo
You’ll need the following tools (not included) to complete the project: foam kumihimo disk (regular 1/2″ thickness), 8 weighted bobbins (~23g each), clip-on center weight (~45g), and scissors.
