The Odyssey features a luxurious double-strand focal section of handmade lampwork teardrop beads and Czech crystal bicones strung between TierraCast cones in a timeless hammered texture. Kumihimo beaded ropes of size 8 seed beads begin directly from the cones and transition through a smooth two-color ombré with subtle accents. Stainless steel magnetic endcaps are hidden under coordinating peyote stitch endcap covers.
Odyssey is a necklace kit for all levels. Previous experience with the basic round braid (kongoh gumi) on the foam disk is helpful, but not required. If this is your very first beaded kumihimo project, please review our Beaded Kumihimo Starter Guide and Understanding the Braid before beginning your necklace. As for the focal area, you'll need your basic jewelry making skills like cutting wire and crimping.
