Whether you're brand new to kumihimo or a long time fan, this is one of those projects that is just soooo relaxing to braid. Both the 4mm fire polished and size 8 seed beads are easy to string with the included big-eye needle and once the braid is underway these two different bead sizes naturally nestle against each other in an elegant spiral. A variation of our popular Classic Elegance necklace, Papyrus features a hand crafted pendant made of strips of paper that have been rolled together and lacquered. These paper pendants are great for summer jewelry since they're so light weight!

Since the pendants are handmade, they do vary a little in size. They range from 1 1/2" to 2" in diameter. Colorwise, each one is unique, so there's only one of each kit colorway available.

Previous experience with the basic round braid (kongoh gumi) on the foam disk is helpful, but not required. If this is your very first beaded kumihimo project, please review our Beaded Kumihimo Starter Guide before beginning your necklace.
