The Trinity Bracelet is a counted kumihimo pattern made with Unicorne teardrops and size 8 seed beads. All the teardrops are on the outside of the bracelet so the inside is nice and smooth against your wrist. The kit includes multiple stringing charts so you can make a bracelet that fits YOUR wrist! The project is finished with magnetic endcaps hidden under coordinating peyote stitch endcap covers.

Trinity is a beautiful skills-building project for beginner-plus and intermediate braiders. We recommend that you are familiar with the contents of our foundational documents Beaded Kumihimo Starter Guide and Understanding the Braid and that you have completed a couple beaded kumihimo projects before starting your bracelet.

This braid can be done on either the foam disk or the marudai, but in class we'll all work on the disk.

Date/Time:  Thursday, May 15th 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Arizona time

  • 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM  Pacific / Arizona
  • 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Mountain
  • 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM Central
  • 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Eastern

Arizona does not observe daylight savings, so if you're using a time zone converter be sure to select Arizona time and not just Mountain time.

Location:  Any place you have good internet and good lighting.

Event type:  Live online class via Zoom.  You need to already know how to use Zoom before coming to class.  I am not able to provide Zoom tech support.

Instructor:  Rebecca Combs (she/her)

Materials Included:  No.  You need to either purchase a kit or gather your own supplies.  If you don't purchase a kit with your class tuition, I'll follow up with you to go over the detailed supply list.  Below is the general overview:

Homework Required:  Yes.  You will need to up your disk and string the beads before class starts.

Skill Level:  Previous experience with kumihimo braiding on a foam disk is required.  You should have past experience with the following techniques:

  • Cutting your cords and setting up the disk for braiding
  • Stringing beads
  • Dropping beads and locking them in place in the braid
  • Unbraiding
  • Binding off the ends of your braid

Will the project be completed in class?  If you're a speedy braider, you might finish the bracelet in class, but you'll just be getting started on the peyote stitch endcap covers.

Tools needed:

  • kumihimo disk standard thickness (I like the 4", but 6" works fine for this project.)
  • 8 weighted bobbins
  • 1 45g clip-on center weight
  • scissors
  • tape measure
  • big-eye needle
  • binding thread
  • E6000 glue
  • Tulip beading needle (optional)

What if I need to cancel?  This event is non-refundable.  Please check your schedule carefully before signing up.

Is there a replay available?  No, this is a live event and the zoom class will not be recorded for student privacy.

Minimum enrollment:  If class does not have at least 8 students it will be canceled and you will be refunded.  If you purchased a kit and class is canceled, you will have the option to cancel your kit order as well.  This determination will be made before the kits ship.  (Kits are schedule to ship by April 18th.)
