The Vignette beaded kumihimo necklace features a sophisticated two color ombré with metallic accents to coordinate with the pendant. Although the necklace is mostly made of size 8/0 seed beads, the very center uses size 11/0s. This central detail of smaller metallic seed beads both draws your eyes to the pendant and helps keep the pendant centered on the braid.
Following along with the detailed written instructions and accompanying demo video, you'll transform the focal bead into a stunning pendant and then braid a gorgeous necklace to show it off on!
The Vignette Necklace Instructions is a downloadable PDF. Nothing will be shipped to you. If you want to print out the instructions, you'll need to have a printer. You'll have access to the download after you checkout. You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to open the file. The PDF is four pages long and includes 23 step-by-step photos for making the pendant and necklace, as well as a QR code that will take you to a YouTube video demonstrating how to make the pendant.
Finished length options: 19.5", 21.5", and 23.5" measured end to end including the endcaps and toggle clasp.
This is not a kit. No materials are included.
Vignette is an all-levels project, and assumes you already know the basic kumihimo skills:
- how to thread a needle
- how to tie an overhand knot
- how to set up the disk for braiding
- how to string beads
- how drop beads and lock them in place in the braid

The supply list is on the first page of each project PDF and includes the type/size of each required component as well as the required quantity. The quantity may be listed as a range if the instructions include stringing charts for multiple sizes.
